Holte Visual Art Performing College & ST Alban’s Academy School Transition Programmes

 

Urban art, drama, sports, ICT and African drumming workshop activities were used as engagement tools to support Holte, and St Alban’s new Year 7 pupils’ smooth transition from primary to secondary school education.

 

Year 7’s took part in orienting exercises designed to familiarise pupils with the new layout of their school building and its environment.

 

St Alban’s pupils explored the meaning behind their school’s mantra which represents their school ethos and pupil expectations. Holte pupils’ performed a short play- ‘I’ll never forget my first day at school’ representing their time and experiences spent on the one week programme.
